Master of Souls Ermac is one of the most fearsome powerhouses to exist in Mortal Kombat Mobile. Being able to demolish the first opponent that faces him at the beginning of the match as well as being readily available in the store, players who possess him will gain a huge tactical advantage over their enemies.
Strategy[]
Note that his own passive does not include himself. Conventionally, in a complete Outworld team, he would start with 2 bars of power, allowing him to immediately use his second special attack. However, what makes him exceptionally dangerous is that he can use an X-Ray attack at the beginning of the match. There are many ways to get him to full power. The first is to equip him with the Wrath Hammer or Bloody Tomahawk and pair him up with two more Outworld characters. The second is a more popular combination as Kitana/Mournful can provide Outworld teammates with a starting bar of power as well counting as an Outworld teammate for Ermac's passive, immediately granting him 2 bars and with another Outworld teammate, 3 full bars of power. This combination can help free up Ermac's weapon slot.
Interactions[]
Please note that battles are highly situational: this section only mentions cards that have mechanics that, for any reason, are particularly effective with/against, or particularly ineffective against Ermac. Having a card that "counters" Ermac does not mean it is always a good choice.
Good With[]
- Outworld characters.
- Kitana/Mournful: She gives him one bar of power, allowing Ermac to start with X-Ray when teamed with another Outworld.
Good Against[]
- Sub-Zero/Kold War: His starting power isn't affected by Sub-Zero's power dampening.
Countered By[]
- Characters that can evade special attacks, such as Jason Voorhees/Nightmare and Jade/Assassin.
- Sonya Blade/Kold War: Her ice shield greatly reduces damage from special attacks and X-ray.
- Characters who can apply Power Drain.
