The Gold Pack (formerly the Kombat Pack) is a booster pack that contains a random gold character, with Cassie Cage/Covert Ops, Kung Lao/Shaolin Master and Quan Chi/Warlock as exclusive characters. It also drops two extra cards, which can be which can be a support card, upgrade card, level-up card, or Equipment (common, uncommon, and rare).

- Quan Chi/Warlock used to be an exclusive character, but was introduced into the Netherrealm Pack later.
- With the removal of the Netherrealm Pack in Update 2.0, Quan Chi/Warlock now available in both Netherrealm Elder God Pack and Elite Netherrealm Elder God Pack.
- Although it says one gold character in the description, you can not obtain Sub-Zero/Cryomancer, Johnny Cage/A-List, Reptile/Nimble and Kano/Cutthroat.
- Prior to Update 2.2 , Takeda/Shirai Ryu was displayed on the Gold Pack's cover image, although he cannot be obtained from it. This is likely a mistake from NRS, which they fixed in a later version of the game by replacing Takeda's picture with Sonya Blade/Tactical.
