- Jade/Klassic: Goro receives immunity to Snare from Jade
- Kotal Kahn/Sun God & Reptile/Nimble: Goro gains 30% Attack from Kotal Kahn and 30% Health from Reptile.
- Kitana/Mournful, Rain/Klassic, Wrath Hammer & Bloody Tomahawk: Goro can start match with extra power from these supports.
- Noob Saibot/Klassic: Goro receives damage boost to his unblockable attacks from Noob Saibot.
- Quan Chi/Warlock, Scorpion/Strike Force, Living Dead & Frost Orb: The characters and equipment pieces will allow Goro to resurrect more than once.
- Smoke/Klassic: Because Goro is a Klassic character, Smoke gives him additional debuff resistance.

- Jacqui Briggs/Kosplay (Sub-Zero & Rain): Sub-Zero Jacqui deals critical hit damage and Rain Jacqui deals basic attack damage against Outworld characters including Goro.
- Johnny Cage/Strike Force: Johnny can gain a bar of power from Goro's resurrection.
- Kitana/Day of the Dead: Both Goro's death and resurrection can trigger Kitana's passive Regen.
