- Kombat Cup Characters: If fully teamed up, Johnny Cage gives +15% to attack, health, recovery and toughness, Sonya Blade gives Stun immunity and Cassie Cage gives Cripple immunity.
- Sonya Blade/Klassic: Klassic Sonya allows Kombat Cup Sonya to ignore toughness since she is Spec Ops.
- Cassie Cage/Covert Ops: Covert Ops Cassie Cage gives +25% unblockable chance to Spec Ops teammates, which includes Sonya Blade.
- Jacqui Briggs/High Tech: Kombat Cup Sonya gains +20% power generation thanks to Jacqui.
- Sonya Blade/Demolition: Kombat Cup Sonya gains +30% attack.

- Characters that Stun, such as Kabal, Scorpion/Kold War, Scorpion/Strike Force, Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi, Tremor/Aftershock and Tremor/Black Dragon: Sonya and Kombat Cup teammates are immune to Stun.
- Characters with high Recovery: Sonya disables recovery if the opponent is forced-out by her passive.
- Characters with high attack damage: Sonya's Shield on X-Ray will reduce the damage.

- Characters who can summon extra allies such as Kotal Kahn/Dark Lord and Noob Saibot/MK11: Summoned allies can waste Sonya's force-out.
- Characters with auto tag-in passives such as Kabal, Scorpion/Strike Force and Terminator/Guardian: These characters can tag-in even if they are forced-out by Sonya due to their passives.
- Kitana/Circle of Shadow: Kitana and her Circle of Shadow teammates are immune to Fear on Sonya's SP2. Kitana's enslaved can also waste Sonya's force-out.
- Raiden/Dark: If Sonya does a tag-out on Raiden, he won't lose all bars of power, but gain all 3 instead, thanks to his passive.
