Patch 1.18.1 is an update that is made in celebration of the 2018 FIFA World Cup event. Two new characters that are added have skins and abilities related to the soccer event.

- New modifiers have been added, as seen in some challenge stages.
- There is a bug with Scorpion/Klassic's SP1 that causes Scorpion to be unable to pull the enemy closer to him. This affects the most wounded tagged-out opponent.
- Sonya Blade/Kombat Cup's passive is bugged as tagging her in for the first time against the last opponent causes her to almost be unable to do anything.
